Hi there, so glad you found me! I'm Kayla, and I have been planning events professionally coming up on TEN years now. With FIFTEEN+ years in hospitality, working just about every position a restaurant or event has to offer, it is just in me to cater to you and your needs!
Parties really are my jam though - as a kid, I was always the friend having the house parties (sorry mom), hosting sports sleepovers/spaghetti suppers, and the planner of my friend group. Little did I know, I'd later make a profession out of what I’ve always LOVED to do! After highschool I received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree, where I found my attention to detail skills were ON POINT. After a few years of hating the corporate world, I quickly found myself back in the Hospitality Industry. I’ve done everything from serving, bartending, hosting, setting up & breaking down linens/decor for a friend's moms rental company, chair covers, banquet serving, the general manager of a couple restaurants. The not so pleasant jobs like dealing with toilets backing up mid event, dishwashing, floor drains spewing water during a Saturday night rush, Shucking oysters to help our salad station guy on a busy night of buck-a-shuck. My favorite parts of this industry though have been catering, fundraising events and planning + coordinating just about anything.
When it comes to planning events, prior to going off on my own, you may have seen me booking or coordinating parties & weddings at Bittersweet Farm in Westport, Ma. Event planning is not just a job to me. For me, it is truly something I LOVE and if you let me, you’ll see it’s something I show in every event I plan!
